Large Teapots
Lately Ms.Heideman has been talking about objects, specifically objects that change as they get farther away from you. Here, you can see the teapots further back in the painting begin to lose detail, and fade in color, where the cups closer to you have lots of detail and are more bright and colorful. I also like this painting because it is abstract, and is telling a story.
Fading boats
I really love this picture of boats fading into a bridge and clouds. I think it's cool how it plays with your mind and shows a whole different perspective on things. Boats are slowing turning into something they weren't in the first place, and taking on new qualities.
Charcoal shapes
I really liked this art because it is similar to what we are currently learning in class. They drew a picture using charcoals, which they using to create different shades, shadowing, and definition. They didn't do a close up object like I am doing, but I still like this, it really caught my attention!
Butterfly apple
I thought this was a very cool painting because it represents the evolution of live and give animal qualities to non-human objects. I love all the detail in the painting and it just really stood out to me the way the colors were so bright and fit the picture so well.
Grisaille
I found this painting very cool because it only uses one color. The painter used different shades of the same color to show depth and shadows in the girls face. I thought this was very cool.
The butterfly effect
I thought this picture was really cool because to me it is describing how such a small thing can cause great damage. The analogy here is the butterfly as the "small thing". I just found this image so intriguing and beautiful and it really caught my attention.
